That’s true. So choose your trainer’s wisely.
Smith is going to be my first picked player in supercoach at 350k. Followed by marlon pickett
Mutch is delist material don’t know why the club keeps hanging onto players like him been on the list for a while and still cant break into the side.
The boy has had a few injuries El Nino. Give him a chance, before you kill him off with your negative nonsense.
Been on the list for a good 3-4 years now how many chances does he need? every time he’s a chance he breaks down with injury.
The farking season has not even started and you want to eliminate some-one.
Been saying it for a while that he won’t make it. Should have kept Mynot and delisted Mutch at least Mynot wasn’t injury prone.
Took the club 5-6 years to realise that Jackson Merret was no good Mutch is entering that territory.
Two years ago he was tracking ok and we gave him a two year extension(maybe gave it to him after 1 year).
That’s not crazy list management. He was impacted badly by injury last year but you can’t foresee that.
Crunch year this year, but we didn’t keep him too long.
Too harsh here Nino.
I’m not convinced he’ll make it but he deserves the chance unencumbered by injury to give it a red hot crack. Nothing wrong with the list management team having him on the list this year.
I hope he gets a good run it and plays over 100 games but I just don’t see it
the list management hasnt been poor in regards to mutch,
but I agree, players like him need to be shipped off.
Im confident even with a healthy body he isnt going to perform better than Trent Mynott did last season in the VFL and even he was delisted.
Not much at all during the actual sessions that I have seen.
He is probably involved behind the scenes though in planning the sessions which are actually very involved.
They will often have 20-30 switches in drills with different players going onto a different oval in different groups and it all seems to happen like clockwork, so there must be a lot of pre planning to make it happen that way.
But also to work out in advance what it is they actually have to work on and who is going where I’m sure with his experience he would have an input.
I’d like to see Mutch get some games before he gets thrown in the trash.
Seems like the type he has the potential to be pretty handy or someone that can claim a spot in the side depending on the make up of the side. Endurance athlete, good above head and can kick off both sides comfortably is a bit of a unique set of attributes for a footballer to have.
I don’t agree with you he hasn’t really had a good run injury free.
Holding on too long its what this club does and its not just about players and its time for change.
Is it too early to tell if there is a significant change in playing style?
This is similar to what you get in a cricket team. If you a couple of really good fast bowlers it greatly improves the entire batting line up.
Must admit I don’t see much with Mutch. But given he’s picked up an injury pretty much every time they’ve tried to have a look at it him, he hasn’t had much of a crack at it and I’m not sure he’d be chopped yet.
Was selected Rd 1 last year, and then got invited within 2 minutes, and basically destroyed his season. The coaches have send to rate him when for, so I wouldn’t say that he hasn’t taken his chances, it’s just that he’s copped injury
Yes it’s too early (for me anyway), you can only really get an idea when they have a proper full field practice match. Even when doing full length drills they generally seem to only concentrate on a certain type of play, e.g. moving from a stoppage or from a mark or loose ball at half back.
Not surprised that Townsend shows out with his aggression at the contest. Anyone who’s watched Essendon vs Richmond games over the last 3 years has seen a gulf between the two sides.
