I think every supporter and coach at both Adelaide and Essendon have wondered why Smack could be blessed wiith such unique physical attributes, and do amazing things.
Yet go missing, and be so poor at times.
Clearly maturing/psychological improvements/better coaching have led to seeing longer stretches of very good form.

There is self-belief.
But also to be believed in.

Maybe he finally feels like he now belongs?

Heā€™s got the love. Smack em in the VFL, ā– ā– ā– ā–  on them in the AFL and laugh at the AFLX.

Thatā€™s brilliant, I donā€™t know how you come up with this stuff!
The quotes are gold!

Is it too early for this question? What drills have you seen that players participate according to the new rules?

Kick it, ya ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  gooses!!!

I havenā€™t really noticed too much that I thought related to the new rules, they could well have plans that they practice in the hanger behind closed doors.

I think @Deckham in one of his training reports mentioned he saw something that may have been relevant

I love your work Nackers. Canā€™t get down thereā€¦yet.

Nackers. Great reports, Thank you so much.

We know what we can expect from current AFL level mids like Hepp, Zerret, Shiel, Zakka, Myers, Smith and Parish and even Stringer.
How are the younger specialist mids going ? McGrath, Clarke, Mutch, Mynott.

Anyone going to training today?

Exciting times!
What do we know about Tom?
I thought his sons were more interested in the round ball?

Got a feeling McGrath will be on that list in 6 months too

Is the tall fella with the backwards white cap Stewart? Showing a lot of strength and composure.

Iā€™m just gonna tell you straight up heā€™s not going to be an A grade midfield in 6mths. maybe in 3 years, maybe never, but not in 6mths. Thatā€™s simply not realistic, youā€™d be well advised to temper your expectations.

For us to take the step to being a finals winning side and contend for top 4, we need the likes of McGrath/Langford/Parish to make the step to B graders who give genuine consistent and tangible contribution week in week out. All have shown signs at various times in the last 12mths, hopefully the development continues.

IMO McGrath is going to turn out alright

Iā€™m pretty confident he will be too. But A grade midfielder in 6mths is unicorn stuff is all.

The easiest way to do that is to do all the grappling with a clenched fist. It doesnā€™t inhibit your ability to push and grapple in any way. The only thing it prevents is grabbing a hold of something. I am surprised you donā€™t see players doing it. Same at stoppages when you are trying to block.
