Training report - Friday 18 December 2020

For me, it’s when the opposition kick the first goal, then get the next centre clearance, that panic feeling starts to come over me……. then we finally win possession in defence…… then turn it over. Fark!!! All that is left is to wait for the umpires to weigh in (not normally a long wait).

Cahill intrigues me, It was obvious he has a football brain from the limited minutes we saw, He could be a round 1 smokie in the forward pocket.

He’s an interesting one.

His footy IQ and low, accurate kicks on both sides reminds me of Sam Mitchell.

I think he could take on a role with time around the ball feeding it cleanly to teamates in good possition.

The last couple of drafts we have certainly picked up players with better foot skills.

There was likely a significant injury today with Dylan Clarke who had to be carried off. Unsure what type of injury though

Nackers replying in Monday’s thread?

Do you think that considering our training facilities are far windier than the grounds we play on that it could be hindering our development.

There’ll be a lot of dropped marks early on as players won’t be expecting this. May take a season to adjust to this change of game-plan.

We have a hangar to train in too.

With spongy floors.

Tullas facilities are top class. That’s not our excuse for mediocrity
