I put a like on this post because I was able to crack @nackers (crack nackers ) code ie
eggs = tall forwards
muffins = small forwards
lockdown = drafting
soul searching and making do = playing 2020 backs forward and 2020 forwards back
fresh buns = sheed’s advice to truck
Damn right…patience and good humour are for the likes of @Koala, not me.
My best one was when @Bomb_Doe , your_team and Dunlop stood together at the fence, and some smartarse near me asked what the other 4 dwarves were doing that day.
Breakfast Report - Wednesday 17 February 2021. Lockdown day 5.
Luckily after the overwhelming interest in yesterday’s report (@Bomb_Doe 80 likes is still on the cards!) I have a more detailed analysis of this mornings effort.
Bright and sunny with a very slight refreshing breeze (sorry the best I could come up with, I don’t have access to a wind meter on the property), not a cloud in the sky. After a lazy early morning preparations started around 10.30 with the temperature around 23.3 degrees, rising to about 24.1 when we sat down to eat.
The solar heating clicked on in the pool, current water temperature around 30.1 degrees, very pleasant for a post digestive dip.
After a very mediocre lockdown induced effort yesterday, nearly the whole cook up squad was put to the grill this morning.
On offer were:
Field mushrooms, fried in lashings of butter
Large tomatoes, sliced in half, fried on both sides until soft. Salt and peppered to taste and topped with basil.
Fresh asparagus, fried in butter until the stalks were slightly soft
Eggs fried according to taste, ranging from runny yolk to hard
Hash browns cooked until golden brown.
Plenty of rashers of bacon, cooked until almost crispy
Jugs of fresh orange and apple juice, and coffee as required.
After finishing the session finished around 11.30 with a quick dip in the pool, fresh fruit was served in the form of watermelon, bananas, peaches and nectarines.
Overall a very pleasing start to the day, a huge improvement on the standard from yesterday.
All the items were prepared to a very high standard, with no signs of any adverse reactions.
As there was no training today, I imagine with the lockdown over we will be back to normal with full sessions on Thursday and Saturday which normally start around 9am. As a result I will most likely have to leave around 7.30am to be there on time, so breakfast will almost certainly be restricted to a quick bowl of cereal with some orange juice to wash it down. In all likelihood no further report required.
