It’s a worry that Zerk has been reported to be labouring with his running a few times in pre-season already. I didn’t realise that was a problem in previous seasons.
I’d be interested to know from @nackers if that is the case or is he just in better running groups then they’ve put him in the past?

It’s a critical season for him. If he can’t nail down a spot in the backline he’ll probably be passed by the younger guys next off-season

Looks a fair bit bigger, so that may have slowed him down.

I can’t recall him labouring in the past like he has this year. It could be the extra weight he’s put on or maybe he had a setback that’s affected his fitness, but I don’t think he’s in better running groups. I agree though this is a really crucial year for him as he will have plenty of competition in the next coupe of years.
