Training Wed 14th Dec 2022

He literally said that developing a style of football which will consistently compete with, and beat, the best teams in the competition will take a number of years.

But that is the peak of the effort. There are significant landmarks to be reached prior to that (winning a final for example) which will be enjoyed along the way, if Brad is successful.

Gee’s it was touch and go for a contract extension, reckon Captaincy is gone,

List is so young.

You’re doing a lot of filling in gaps with this statement. There’s nothing to suggest his statement that he’s had some of his opinions challenged that means it’s been that the list is in far better shape than he thought in order to contend. It could just as easily mean that some of the players he wants out could result in better compensation in terms of picks or players in.

The first bit is unkind.

The second bit is (men’s) business as usual.

Lets play Hepp in front of the kids and plan for a tilt in 3-4 years, makes sense.

Scott is the first coach we have had in a very long time that i love listening to. Could listen to him all day, i even thought that when he was back at north.

On heppell we always know he is great off field, but at some point you have to cut the cord, he can be a liability of field and doing the best 22 i can’t see where he fits.

I’m wondering why Langford took a stubby out in the training track with him?

Whether you like what he is saying or not (and it’s generally hard to fault), he really is an exceptional communicator.

Teaching sounds so much better than learnings. About time we shifted our focus.

That’s all true. But it’s funny how Rutten wasn’t given the luxury.

Now that Rutten has been sacked we suddenly have a young list that needs years to develop

Rutten lost Daniher, Fantasia, McKenna, Bellchambers, Saad, Hooker and Hurley and had to face covid situation. That was meant to be an experienced group that would help us go up the ladder. It all failed miserably. After losing all these guys… the list needed a rebuild… hence Scotts position now

Also Rutten is a very average coach would almost put him next to Matty Knights

That’s my point - Rutten inherited the inexperienced list.

Was crucified for overperforming with it in his first year

You do still need some experienced players out there. We are pretty light on for experience next year.

He’s great for a pre-game rev up or words of encouragement after a loss but what is some examples of his great leadership and experience on the field in the last couple of years ?
Give the new captain some fresh air and set some higher standards on the ground I say.

The subtitles on that interview were a worry. Looks like Redman is off to the Tigers
