I love big Tommy B and I don’t believe he’s cooked by any stretch, but he’s not playing anywhere near his best and a week in the twos could help him regain a bit of form. I really want Sam Draper to debut this week.

Stefan Martin’s a quality ruckman. Draper’s taller by about 4cm and a few kgs heavier but Martin knows exactly where to put his body and pivot his weight. I wouldn’t expect Draper to beat Martin but if he could halve a few contests I reckon he’d do better than TBC and learn heaps in the process.

EDIT: if you scroll up and look at the picture of Draper vs Bellchambers you can see how Sammy’s going to win it. TBC is trying to plant himself but Sam’s putting all his muscle into lifting Tom so that he loses his base. Natural smarts from a young guy who’s been playing the sport for less than five years.

And Martin excels in exactly the same areas Tommy struggles in.

Yep, he is similar to Grundy, though not quite as good. The mobile ruckman generally run rings around TBC

All this talk about Martins rucking & Bellys General shittnesss has me more than a little concerned about the guy I like to refer to as lump.

If the Lump doesn’t grow legs we could be in a lot of trouble.

Wonder if they will open up the curtains this weekend.

Something inside of me is very scared about the Lions at the G

Wonderful to hear about two guys that are showing lots of real hunger in Begley & Redman. Not a pusseeee amongst them.
I want both in the side pronto.
Time we had more dead set tough kunts in the side with a burning desire to win every single ball & smash some heads in as well. Old school footplayers that are young, good and can be intimidating in need. Bring out the unsocialable ones, not the joker touchy feely I wanna be your fake friends types who laugh and talk with the opposition after games.
You know who they are. Zaha for one.

Just a rambling

Everything will have to click for us to beat the Lions. I cannot see us beating them.

Oh well we pretty flogged em and Zaharakis played some unsociable football which he should continue with for the rest of the year
