Thanks to the growing army of training reporters, you spoil us
Hard to say. He’s much slimmer. Still seemed to be a bit laboured in the match sim but the mere fact that he got through all of a punishing three hour training session is a good sign for me. If he’s not ready for round one we shouldn’t have to wait too long after that.
What did centre bounce set up look like?
They switched it up a fair bit. At the start of the first quarter it was Draper, Merrett, Perkins and Shiel for black versus Bryan, Parish, Hobbs and maybe Setterfield (?) for red. Draper had the better of Bryan in the hit-outs but only just. Merrett was the clear standout. Shiel started well and faded. Parish started slowly and improved. Perkins was very exciting in patches.
Apologies if I missed it but did the train on players hoping for a list spot play?
Did Durham play centre square? In that grainy footage of Perkins in the middle to Stringer, it looks like Durham vs Setterfield in the back.
It might be that they are on the wing and I can’t judge distance. In which case it’s probably not Setterfield on Durham.
Not that I noticed. It was Durham v Heppell on one wing and Martin v Tom Phillips on the other wing for the majority of the game.
I think I saw Hudson O’Keeffe play (mostly in defence). There were a couple of other players out there that I didn’t recognise, sorry. None of them were clear standouts to me but I wasn’t watching them closely.
So says the dckhead who dumps crap when he’s bored at work. AA hypocrite.
Cool story. Not sure what I’ve done to upset you. Anyway, training thread.
Can anyone confirm whether there were 3 or 4 field umpires? If there were 4 was it noticeable?
No story - straight of your head.
It’s perfect, Essington the man BEFORE he starts career at another club though
How did West Coast let get this guy slip lols
why does it bother you so much? lol surely youve learnt this is nino and it isnt changing
We’re conditioned to expect the worst anyway
You know what, I wasnt going to share this but I think now I will.
Jones missed most of this pre season because someone at the club thought it would be a good idea to do benchmark testing with weights whilst standing on barbell plates to test stability.
Jones got too close to the edge of one of the plates and rolled his ankle and thats why he’s missed most of the pre season.
For a bloke that had previous ankle injuries, I have no farking idea why this was how they run the sessions.
They have stopped doing that testing now, but too little too late.
I tend to agree that we have been absolute amateurs with our tall guys over the last few years.
Im really unsure how Murphy survived the axe, when I know people inside the club that were certain he was going to be sacked.
Shambles.
