Training Wednesday 25th January 2023

Interesting. Not sure what benchmarking they would be doing that involved standing on a weight plate, apart from maybe some deficit deadlifts, but that has nothing to do with testing stability and wouldn’t form part of a testing block.

I’m ok with Caldwell becoming a defensive mid that can do a tagging job.

Be nice to have some one who clamp down on an opposition mid that destroys us.

EFA… refer R1 last year for compelling evidence.
Would love to know who Murphy’s blowing (and/or who he has photos of) to have kept his gig…

Thx for the report, who played on Menziess ?

Just a knock

The main defenders all looked solid, McGrath looks great down back, likes to kick 20m bullet passes, which is much better than the previous round the body to nobody snaps.
Merrett, Martin and Menzies were the standouts.
Was a hard session, 4 quarters of footy followed by drills and laps in hot weather.
Quite a few players came over after the session, my son managed to get 18 signatures and a number of photos.
Tippa didn’t come over, but happened to be at 7/11 when we stopped on way home, so he got a photo then.
Kids near us were funny, managed to talk Draper into handing over his sweaty footy socks.

Looking at all clubs? We’re the worst again?

Can you please share the injury lists from all clubs you are basing this on?

Thanks.

Grat report, thanks.

I was there today as well and to answer your (perhaps rhetorical) question about what to make of Heppell in the red ‘2’s’ team…

My take today was as a virtual on field coach. Regularly he seemed to be driving structure, positioning and process.

My guess he will get another year as captain. Play 20 games with couple of ‘managed’ and the bye. Seems ib ripping nick and form.

Oh man if Heppell is skipper again we will all be lamenting it come round 4-5.

We will have all the bad news stories re dropping the skipper etc etc

Guys there’s no farking ‘S’ the name Menzie. We need to learn this fairly quickly seeming as he’s tracking to be our CHF round 1.

Maybe he wants another crack at Ginnivan

They’re always on their feet

Agree 100% club also said nothing about Parish whos been rehabing all pre season

I cant for life for me the club didnt look at the fitness/injury management when they did the review like you said its more than just bad luck
