Good to know, thanks. At least she should be able to use LHR.

Flying out in 2 weeks
Applied for my renewal start of July, did the process within 5 days $$$$$ and got it within 5 days.
Had the passport for the kids, went to do it and she says “dont waste your money, they’ve all been coming within 2 weeks, you’ll be fine”. Been 4 weeks and it still says “received 8th July”, no update since then
Still says “should be sent out by 5th August” but I dont trust it. Still need to get an ETA for UK as well.
Is there any way I can pay to get it fast-tracked now?
And on the ETA, be careful when getting the apps. Lots of apps set up just like the UK one but charge £55 instead of £20
Open to the brains trust: Best (Any) place to watch AFL in Singapore?
We are staying in Orchard area but anywhere in Singapore is an option.
Thanks in advance ![]()
Paging @Heffsgirl but for me I really like the Lions brewery and if you wander around Clarke Quay or Robertson Quay you will find most bars show the AFL and NRL
Boomarang Bistro & Bar | An Aussie Welcome, Wherever You’re From Boomarang Bistro & Bar | An Aussie Welcome, Wherever You're From
Spot on @Aceman . The above definitely shows AFL and NRL.
When I was at the High Commission I only renewed the AFL license so everyone had to watch AFL when I opened the bar hahaha
Mine (applied June) didn’t give any updates at all until I got the registered mail notification and arrived the next day.
Was just over 2 weeks from go to whoa.
We did a ~2 day hike up around Sa Pa. Bus trip from Hanoi. But that was 12 odd years ago. Definitely get up into those hills in some shape or form.
Took 4 weeks in the end.
Trying to take a photo of a one year old on your phone for the ETA was a bigger challenge.
Does anyone use the visitor oyster card anymore on in London? Reading other forums, they reckon it costs the same as just using your card, especially if it is an international card that doesnt charge fees.
Anyone know of places who exchange cash at good rates? Place near us closed down and the new guys are worse than the banks. Not sure if cash is still used a lot in London and Southern Italy. Last time I was there I used mainly cash but that was 7 years ago.
In southern Italy atm. Unless you’re paying for a taxi or looking to buy minor items at a beach club or bar, card is fine
Thank you.
Where abouts in southern Italy are you? We sre starting in Syracus then driving through Tropea, Martina Franca then Bari
Just had a few nights in Trapani. Got another 4 nights in Sicily, 6 in Calabria, then Malta, Valencia and Nice
Tropea is unbelievable. This is my 3rd time I’ll be staying there
When I move to Greece and can travel easier as I’ll have more time, the first place I’m going is Italy.
Puglia is the business. I think I could live there no worries.
They’ve got life sorted.
Likewise. Went in 2016 to visit family (Capistrano, in the mountains) and again in 2019.
First time taking kids with us now
Yeah, Lecce has great food. Bari was nice but lecce was the best.
I dont eat Italian food in Australia but when in Italy, I literally only eat Pizza and pasta, do not touch steak or anything else. I mix it up by having different pizza and pastas but I only eat them. Breakfast I just have cold cuts and cakes and a coffee.
We are spending time with relatives in san pietro di carida and 3 nights in tropea
Spent a week in puglia two years ago. Used Bari as a base and did day trips. My favourite region in all of Italy
Are you moving there permanently? What part? I must say, I could think of worse things than living on Crete, or quite a few of the islands actually.
