Yep…it’s quite stunning
@Aceman just wanted to see how you went for travel within the States.
For what it’s worth, during my work travels, I ended up spending a few days in Bologna.
I thought it was amazing (the old town was so nice, new town was yuk). Had the best icecream I’ve ever eaten in my life, and the best dinner on my trip was also there. (Helped that work was paying)
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
Modena and Imola were both nice, but I assume there are dozens or hundreds of little towns like this in Italy. Such a great country.
Frankfurt - worth a day or two if you must.
Malaga - hmmm, maybe I didn’t see the best parts.
Marbella - not worth the $180 cab fare.
Paris - IYKYK
Amsterdam - they don’t have coffee shops at the airport FFS
Coffee shops huh? Or is that a euphemism for something else? ![]()
Well, there’s cafes and coffee shops. Either way you can’t buy dope at the airport.
Next time you are in Bologna, Dozza is worth a detour. Architecture and murals on buildings, some by famous artists.
I was the same with Malaga. Plenty of towns and sights fairly close though …Granada, Ronda, Setenil de las Bodegas…some caves very close, ditto Caminito del Rey.
Römerberg is ok as a public square in Frankfurt…wander along the Main.
Perfectly fine on first entry. Straight through immigration in Dulles, no questions on travel pattern or anything. We leave tomorrow for Grenada and come back to the US in about a fortnight.
Staying at Charlotte tonight but spent a couple of days in Washington DC and very laid back and friendly people wherever we went. Flew Reagan Airport to La Guardia and then to Charlotte this arvo and all airport staff were fantastic and no hassles
I’m really glad to hear that it has all gone well so far ![]()
On a side note, I just got confirmation that my Qantas membership was one of those accessed by those bloody hackers.
With this plus the Optus one, it isn’t going well!
Me too.
With 6 million affected, there would not be many QFFers unaffected.
I took out a QFF membership for my dog. He didn’t get an email. All the humans in the household did tho. Make of that what you will.
Is it worth doing the authenticator app thing as a 2FA alternative?
Don’t know. If you do though, I wouldn’t use the M$ one.
They are probably saving yourself, from yourself.
Are you allowed to consume marijuana on a flight departing the Netherlands? I don’t know.
15.6m are QFF’s currently.
The 6m affected would have most likely had some interaction with the Manila call centre or QBR as that is what the breach has been tracked to
All gone very well. I did have to bite my tongue though as we had a chance encounter with Penny Wong and KRudd yesterday at the World War 2 monument. Kev came over and shook my hand and I commented that Penny was a good Adelaide girl nd he laughed and said she is an Adelaide girl but don’t know about being good. They both laughed and headed off with their minders ![]()
Anyway we did Charlotte to Miami red eye this morning and that was fine but Miami airport was a deadset debacle and looked like we would miss our connection to Grenada but thankfully I was able to talk my way into boarding just in time even though it was nearly an hour late departing
What’s QBR?
I got the email too ![]()
Qantas Business Rewards
The program for those with business accounts or ABN’s
Ahhh. Well I don’t have one of those nor have I had to contact anyone so not sure why I got hacked!
Ditto with the notification from Qantas.
