Tribunal/MRO from 2023 - Choose Your Own Adventure continues

You put it better than what I did

This sport is well and truely f*cked.

I can’t believe it.

I don’t really care who it is. But for the good of this sport, it should not even be a 1 week suspension. 3 weeks is a f*cking disgrace.

Weideman has every right to run at the ball.

Watching this on tv live I was shocked that it wasn’t a free to Weideman for having his legs taken. Having watched the replay several times my opinion hasn’t changed.

Now that this decision has stood I’m really not sure what to think. What a farce.

slide into the ball first and you’re protected

what an awful precedent

This is the answer to why we never challenge MRO decisions.

What an absolute joke.

His mistake was taking his eyes / focus away from the ball and into his opponent at the critical moment. I assume that’s why he copped the ban… If his eyes were on the ball and he didn’t deviate slightly towards his opponent he’d be fine.

God forbid he looks at an opposition player, so he’s aware that contact is coming.

Wow that is so ■■■■■■ up

Is this a message from AFL HQ to Brad Scott

I agree but I’m assuming that’s what his issue was. Same as Peter Wright incident.

How the ■■■■ did that get upheld?

If I’m an AFL player, I’m sliding into contests after this.

If you stay on your feet, and the opposition player sliding-in gets concussed…… you’ll now get 3 weeks.

Sometime it’s really hard not to think that they’re out to shaft us. That’s one of the most bizarre three week suspensions you’ll see.

And again, he would’ve been better of punching him.
