Tribunal/MRO from 2023 - Choose Your Own Adventure continues

I just said WTF. Very loudly.

Just when you think things can’t get stupider.

Feel a bit sorry for Weid. Only a few months left in his career and he cops THAT.

The only thing that can stop Sydney winning the premiership is us tunnelling every single one of them in round 23.

Also running over the mark, and playing on to advantage when the other team gets the free kick, apparently.

The caveats to all these is not if you play for Essendon. You will have the book thrown at you and you will be banned and there will be nothing you can do about it as we will reject any appeals you make. You will lose.

What on earth gives you the idea there will be appeals?

EFA…

Isn’t the VFL fully independent of the AFL?
This was a VFL tribunal wasn’t it?

Bush league one way or another

I actually think three weeks is pretty fair there. Weiderman could have very easily avoided that contact, instead he actually changes direction towards the player to make contact prior to him being able to collect the ball and takes him out as a result.

They make contact where the ball is.

and? weidermans final few steps are in the clear direction of the carlton opponent. it was a pooly executed bump

To get to where the ball is

I dont agree with that. He was perfectly aligned with the ball until he took his last couple of steps in the direction of the oncoming opponent.

He wanted to bump his opponent and started lining him up with his shoulder before the opponent got on his knees, then it was too late for weiderman to change anything and got him high.

Yes, the opponent suddenly dropping to his knees and sliding is a huge factor in this. Agreed.

on the flipside if you choose to bump, you wear the consequences of that.
