Tribunal/MRO from 2023 - Choose Your Own Adventure continues

After the way our players have been treated by the MRO I really couldn’t care less about players from other teams. Fark them all.

The MRO does NOT predetermine their hearings.

I agree but there is karma in the world. He should have gone earlier in the year and for other incidents where he got fined should have been suspensions.

It just goes to show it’s not the action but the outcome that they are concerned about.

Meh, two wrongs make a right.

It’s only a matter of time now until someone KO’s another player in flying for a speccie and gets rubbed out for it. Then the transformation from Australian Rules Football to the dog and pony show that it has become will be complete.

Didn’t that already happen

Bedford decision also upheld. AFL is officially now suspending based on the outcome, ie concussion, rather than the action.

The AFL argued Bedford should have taken more steps before tackling. Bedford rightfully laughed at them saying if he did that he wouldn’t have been able to tackle as Tarranto would have been gone. There is a massive mismatch between the way the AFL tribunal is working and how players are playing the game.

Alex Davies is fronting the AFL Tribunal.

The Suns say Davies was contesting the ball and it was reasonable for him to do so in that way, therefore this wasn’t a reportable offence.

Where is all the criticism of Jones not using the right technique to pick up the ball - leading with his head like Hurley-Hanneberry case years ago? Hurley didn’t r even get a free that night. Now 3 weeks suspension.

Mind boggling that those are all 3 week penalties, but the drive by elbow to the back of the head off the ball is 1 week.

Maybe all the clubs and/or AFLPA need to demand a meeting with AFL and petition to end the nonsense. unless there’s a collective protest nothing will change.

I have no hope for the future of the game. I don’t think I could be more ■■■■■■ off with those perfect tackles rubbing a player out for 3 weeks. What a ■■■■■■■ disgrace. People are going to get hurt accidentally it’s a game of football!
