No i don’t, because players don’t swing their arms into an openers head.

An example of another shepherd that was reported was Rioli against Ridley. He was actually trying to shepherd but got Ridley high and copped 2 weeks.

That was behind the play.

Rioli tried to block as the ball was being kicked in. It wasn’t within 5 but it wasn’t behind the player.

Ok fair enough. We’ve put the rule through the ringer and you’re probably right.

AFL golden boy Pendles suspended for one game for gut punching someone.

“Well behaved/good record” excuse incoming…

If the suspension sticks, it means he’ll equal the games played record the week after Anzac Day.

Well, we know what the AFaiL would like?

Peddles cleared on ‘good bloke’ defence.

Collingwood will contest Scott Pendlebury’s one-match suspension at the AFL tribunal, as the veteran midfielder faces a ban for the first time in his 427-match career.

Pendlebury was charged with rough conduct following an incident involving Adelaide’s Josh Worrell during the Crows’ 14-point win at the MCG on Saturday night.

The 38-year-old has never been suspended across 21 seasons in the AFL but could be forced to sit out the Magpies’ match with GWS at Docklands after their round-two bye.

It wasn’t a gut punch.

It was just 2 blokes making a play for the ball and both bracing at the last second.

I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get off cos I’m not sure he did much wrong. They may very well use the good bloke excuse as well, but why wouldn’t you?

Because he’s a cheating, ducking ■■■■?

He chose to bump & got him high. I don’t like it & don’t think it should be a suspension but if the AFL has any last ounce of credibility he has to miss a week because the exact same action has been a suspension for others.

Nothing but the afl maximising the attendance for the record breaking game

Was it Ablett Jnr who kept on hitting blokes a few years ago and kept getting off on the basis that he hadn’t been suspended before? It’s easy to keep a clean record when they keep letting you off due to your clean record.
