So the head is sacrosanct and we need to protect players at all costs, unless they get cold-clocked by a good bloke, then ■■■■ 'em, they can die.
I actually don’t hate this decision. It would be great if they were consistent in similar cases moving forward, which they won’t be.
I don’t remember which player got reported twice in the one match, found guilty of the first charge, then treated as having a clean record for the second…
EDIT: Joel Selwood (of course) in 2021, and Emma King three in one match. And at least Cunnington and McGovern. Dunno if they got rid of the “one was striking, one was kicking, both were first offences for that type” loophole since then.
Just seen the Pendlebury incident.
Another joke to suspend a bloke for protecting himself at the last second.
At least they cleared him, but the fine should be contested in court.
A complete circus this AFL organisation!
Goodes took a long time to get suspended
BOOOOO
Am I doing it right?
Gold Coast must not have any understanding of the dangerous tackle rule.
That was the slingiest of sling tackles you’ll ever see.
Lucky he only got two imo.
What the MRO matrix say for wiping your blood on an opposition player?
Apparently it will go straight to the tribunal. So will probably end up with a couple of weeks.
Who??
Xerri on McGrath
Xerri wiped blood from his nose onto McGraths face
Was the blood visible?
yes
Open and shut case then you’d think.
Should get 3 weeks just for being a bloody moron.
Yeah, pretty farken gross.
The guy is the new Dean Cox. 110kg but keeps falling over like he’s a bantam weight.
3 months imprisionment please Mr Christian
Going back and watching some of what was shown, he told the umpire he had a blood nose and showed him but the ump did not send him off under the blood rule. Very strange.
Dog act. He should get a fine for the staging as well.
