Just think, if McGrath said “ What the fark you do that for ya poof?”. He would have got longer.

Am I reading this correctly, that they couldn’t see blood on his hand? But we saw the blood on McGraths face, so …?

Plus he had plenty of time to cool his jets. The ball went up the other end and back again. So you can’t really say it was a brain fade, or that he snapped.

Anyway. Stupid sport.

But he gave an ‘impressive’ statement

All Essendon’s fault really.

Xerri has every right to react that way. Imagine being called a weak Carlton and an effing, flopping Carlton.

lol.
I really have no animosity towards the guy, but now he’s outed himself as a sooking, dobbing, effing flopping c-word.

Just took a straw poll on my non football interested wife. I said which one is worse - a homophobic slur or rubbing blood on someone’s face. Straight away she said rubbing the blood.

Unfortunately the AFL is more guided by outcry rather than the action. No one will come out claiming the blood wiping hurt them.

I could imagine that during the peak of Covid this would have been the season. Trouble is, Covid is still active even though it’s not thrust into the public light as much anymore. What he did was disgraceful and 3 weeks is pathetic.

Two different sports of course, but I refereed basketball and one of my games a teenager spat blood at another player, and that was a 26 week ban. It’s just vile. Nobody signs up for sport no matter professional or not to have that happen to them.

Our players are a lot of things but dishonest they are not.

How can a slur be worth 4-5 weeks or more yet wiping blood on a players face is only worth 3.

And with that egregious decision, they effectively ended his career. He has never been the same since.

Look at the dive he takes against prior after he marks the ball. And he is surprised he was being sledged for diving???

I’m still dirty he wasn’t cited for staging

Roo’s players all coming out in support for their ruckman. Ours? Not a peep so far.
