TV Shows (We forgot about)

I know there is a ‘new’ version on Netflix in the last couple of years but it is inferior to the original…

Still the most uncomfortable opening theme music in history. And Robert Stack as host (with that voice) was a match made in heaven.

Late 80s/Early 90s - Channel 10. 8:30pm Saturday Nights.

Double Dare? They recruited kids from my school to go on it. So had a few friends with portable tv’s.

My older sister’s best friend used to drive an orange Datsun and named it the orange organic in honour of the band from pugwell.

This one is on YouTube and actually a good rewatch, loving the Aussie 80’s

Deb Conway doing the Tracy Mann vocals, and Sharon O’Neill doing the other female band member’s vocals.
David Reyne on drums.

Soundtrack album with songs variously written by members of The Triffids, Gangajang, Cold Chisel, The Ferrets, Sports, etc.

Remember it well. Loved it as a kid.

Got the LP, must dust off for a listen

I’ve had a meal at Molly’s Reach with the family. Bit of a highlight actually! My wife- who is Canadian- couldn’t understand how an Aussie knew about the Beachcombers/

I’d like to see the ABC renditions of Norman Lindsay stories, but alas, they appear to be no more.

I went to his property at Springwood in the Blue Mountains, and they just told me to ■■■■ off.

I remember Pamela Stephenson (Mrs Billy Connolly) and Judy McBurney were in a couple.

And apparently all the black and white series of Rush with John Waters were gone too.

Wow …how good is Monarchy: Legacy of Monsters on AppleTV, if you are a fan of Godzilla, this is the ultimate series going to be epic, 2 episodes in and hanging for the next

Just realised All of Mankind had another series …yes season 4

So it’s actually good? I saw the previews and was interested, but poor old Godzilla hasn’t had a great run of cinematic quality in recent years. This and Godzilla Minus One both caught my attention though.

jumping between all the era’s has a great mystery suspense , can 't wait for the next episode

Late to the party on this one but just finished Beckham on Netflix. Eye opening and simply amazing in so many ways. Really enjoyed it. Thanks to all those who recommended it.

Against the Wind also got John English a minor hit with Six Ribbons.
Yes Minister
Blackadder
Not The Nine O’Clock News
The Big Gig
Australia You’re Standing In It
and my personal favourite, The Young Ones.

Anyone remember the TV show Werewolf? It was on after 21 Jump Street.

Anyone remember that ghastly Beauty and the Beast show that Linda Hamilton famous? I think Ron Perlman played the beast.
