The Swedish girl and the French girl were just in the cast for their halting command of English.

I think one of the youngish Asian ladies reappeared in the same sort of role 50 years or so later in Aisling Bea’s series where she taught ESL (with a very strong Irish accent).

Man, the family (wife, two 6 year old twin girls and me) are all loving watching Around the twist. Wife and myself obviously watched it growing up as kids, and its all new to the girls. Lots of laughs.

But wow.

I cant believe how much the Australian accent has changed in just a generation. We are losing our ‘twang’ that’s for sure.
