A senior AFL coach coming out publicly directing questions about a players non-availability to the games governing body screams some kind of AFL imposed sanction.

My point exactly.
The fact this isn’t headline news tells me the media have been specifically told by the league to leave it alone or even worse bury it.
How the league can promote this “Medical Model” as best practice is a joke.

It was news. When it happened.
Even if the AFL haven’t threatened to revoke media accreditation, with all the media focus on player welfare and MH after the Hollands incident there is no way that anyone in the media is going to bring up this elephant in the room.
The AFL just want to sweep everything under the rug with NDAs, as they have with the majority of the Hollands stuff
