Came away thinking what have I just watched, but was totally engrossed watching it, still can’t figure out if I like or not, I highly recommend it but I wouldn’t watch it again.
Just watched Gran Torino again after many years, enjoyed just as much as the first time.
I’m still a few years away from 50 but I’m already groaning like Clint does when people ■■■■ me off.
Haha yep, I’m just past 50, have been doing it for a while.
I liked Triangle, had Melissa George in it. Acting was bad (as expected) but pretty freaky
There was a Rob Zombie movie about a haunted house, that was fucming insane. Legitimately frightening and gory at the same time.
I’m further away from 50 but I love Clint Eastwood
Not so much an underrated movie but rather one I didn’t know. Warrior, MMA movie on Netflix. Nolte, Edgerton And Hardy. A little cliched at times but a good watch.
Watched it the other night and it’s very good.
Nolte as usual steals the show.
Hunt for the Wilderpeople is a superb flick!
I enjoyed what it was trying to do and it’s spirit, but it lost me a bit in the last act. Will definitely become a cult classic though.
The back story and build up was very good, but badly let down by the cliched, predictable ending. That was enough for me to knock 1 star off how l rated it, 7/10. I remember reviewing it in this thread almost 10 years ago.
Two Guns
The Other Guys
The Founder
The Other Guys is one of my favourite movies.
Absolutely love it.
The Other Guys is rubbish…as is just about everything with Will Ferrell
Quality input.
Feel free to add some more underated movies you like so I can critique them in a similar useless fashion.
Will Farrell is garbage, all of his movies should be in the overrated thread.
Anybody who likes Will Ferrell is a buffoon.
There is one, and only one Will Ferrell movie that l like, “Stranger Than Fiction” with Emma Thompson.
Everybody knows that your life is a story. But what if a story was your life? Harold Crick (Will Ferrell) is your average I.R.S. Agent: monotonous, boring, and repetitive. But one day this all changes when Harold begins to hear an author inside of his head narrating his life. The narrator it is extraordinarily accurate, and Harold recognizes the voice as an esteemed author he saw on television. But when the narration reveals that he is going to die, Harold must find the author of the story, and ultimately his life, to convince her to change the ending of the story before it is too late.
Amelie (2001).
A delightful French rom-com, with Audrey Taotou in the title role.
