I do like a cheesy action movie though. Might go back and watch the Rock, Face-Off, Con-Air or Broken Arrow.

This movie is correctly rated by Ebert, Rotten Tomatoes (7%), and me in the local paper on its release when I gave it the headline, Stop! Or Iāll Shoot Myself.

Talking about Rotten Tomatoes, Iām sure there are others but the only film that i have seen at 100% is Bad Boy Bubby, interesting indeed.

Yep. Someone mentioned Brick earlier, clever film from memory and reminds me of another odd one with a talented young cast, Dear Wendy. Think it was produced by Lars von Trier. Some of his oeuvre would qualify for the underrated category I reckon. Just rewatched Melancholia a few weeks ago, pretty gorgeous and sad film.
Now Iām thinking of the Dogma films, and the Europa trilogy, but this is probably for the Arthouse thread. Breaking all the rules, von Trierās The Kingdom mini seriesā, do yourself a favour.

Iām watching this currently. Some movies age really badly but this has been fantastic so far. Thanks for the reminder.

Ryan Reynolds somehow pulls this off.
I donāt know if Iām accurate but he was doing a whole lot of teen, comedy and support roles prior to this one. Then they chuck him in a box for an hour and a half and demand a performance with his hands tied behind his back and what a performance it was. People rave about Will Smith in I Am Legend - well he had a dog to support and a city to work with.
Just brilliant for what it is and better than my review gives credit for. Normally Iāll throw a movie title down and leave it for blitz to comment and decide but this deserved a few comments as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kept me on the edge of my seat and put me on the lookout for Ryan Reynolds movies in the future.
Underrated movie IMO.

Sigh, yes.
Watched Made, felt flat. Wanted so much to like it that I forced myself to a second time. Therefore I like it yet I donāt like it but thatās not true, simply because I should like it and as much as I donāt like Vince Vaughn I like Vince Vaughan.
Often you just canāt get the band back together.

The directors cut of Sucker Punch was brilliant. They absolutely edited the fark out of it for the cinemas, so much so that it lost any storyline. A shame.
Also the directors cut of Watchmen made it so much better. Best superhero movie imo.

Great movie- saw it at the cinemas. I HATED the end though.
It was so unexpected - I think it almost made it for me - definitely rememberable - sinking gut feeling

Yep. Same. Who knew a movie about a guy in a box for 80 odd minutes could be so gripping. I think Reynolds is a very underrated actor. Very versatile
