Well here’s my reasoning good friends.
I think he was more than (also known as greater than) serviceable the year before, a welcome surprize for a chuffed footy fan. Not good enough to be played injured/low confidence this year. But our alternatives were also shizen. Truly low, low, low.
IF Daveys and Gresh were thrilling us and smashing down goals like 7UP on an upset stomach then we’d probably never have played him. Therefore, he drew focus.
Imagine this. YOU’RE NEW ON A CAMERA. Autofocus keeps getting the f****** grass not the beautiful animals behind it. He’s the grass. He was never meant to get this much attention. Now he is, we can only wonder, how far can they grow?
He’s a slow small forward who sh*ts himself in front of goal.
You could have played him with Bewick and Eddie Betts and he’d still have looked ordinary.

I’m not very imaginative, but if he exceeds all of my expectations, a b&f isn’t out of the question.

The thing is if anyone played with Jye here on the board they would probably understand how hes a bloody jet from junior footy.
Makes you appreciate just how good top small forwards are that make it.
Apart from a couple of “don’t argue’s”, what are we exactly getting for our 3 first rounders and Nic Martin?
Reid is just an ok player when it’s all said and done.

Agreed.
Reid may only put together a Stringer/Rayner career, and never really take the competition by storm. He’s pretty mentally loose on the field.
I’m expecting his reputation to fade as the new draft crop gets going.

If my eyes could roll further back in my head, they’d be like a slot machine.
Reid has looked outstanding in every game he’s played at the top level for age/experience.
