US politics - is weird (part 6)

So your way of bringing levity is not by dicussing any of the issues, it’s by talking about grown men drinking s*men?

This is elite

Rack off cherry picker. Quote the rest of my response or just don’t respond to me again. Your mind went to ■■■■■ drinking so i guess that’s something for you to sort out.

If Trump loses again, it will be interesting to watch what happens to the Republican party considering they lumped themselves in with Trump. They have leant so far into the MAGA stuff but will be without their cult leader that props the whole thing up, be hard to pivot back the other way.

I still feel he will win. This country is not ready for a woman, let alone a minority woman, to win. Sad state but it is what it is.

I suspect it will come down to one of Michigan, Wisconsin, or Pennsylvania falling to Trump and him squeezing wins in Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona.

A bit of a way up the thread I think it was Nexta posted an interview with a top ranking Republican who, despite being disgusted and dismayed by Trump and MAGA, and the GOP’s ‘tribal’ capitulation to any creep that gets them over the line, there’s still 2/3 of the party that would unite behind a Haley or some other only partially demented creature and pull it back to pre MAGA behaviours.

When Biden dropped out I thought exactly what you were thinking, but now I don’t know, we’ll have to see how the debate goes I think. If she can crush him I think it’s even.

Yep, that’s the kicker. Hope the young folks, with the exception of the Tate zoo, come out in force and finally turn that page. I’m pessimistic as fark.

Bookies have Kamala as favourite now. Slim favourite but still a significant move.

Where is Trump? What’s he hiding from?

The US is in good company with Russia and West Taiwan in regard to women as Presidents or Prime Ministers.
The Indian sub-continent hasn’t had a problem in that regard, whatever the religion of the country.

Bookies are notoriously poor at judging outcomes of the US election.

At least in Australia, anyway. I take any Australian odds on the US election with a huge grain of salt.

Our record as female PM’s go is almost worse than countries who’ve never had one. Burn the ■■■■■ was it? Chuck her in a hessian bag and off a cliff? Go you Right thing

I’m hoping if Trump loses then that’s the end of him, and he doesn’t try again in another 4 years, I’d think 12 years of him being involved is more than enough.

Come 2028 leaders such as Vivek and others will try and take the voters that are disaffected from the Trump crowd should they lose in 2024. I’m hoping we get a new wave of Republican leaders but I’m unsure whom they are, I’m sure a few will tap into that crowd. I’m hopeful leaders like Ted Cruz don’t try their hand again, the difference in debating from when he got humilated by Trump in 16 to now is stark which could help him pick up the Trump voters as he aligned himself with Trump since.

I think it’s very possible she can win, but she needs to nail the debates and have a perfect campign from this point as she is carrying baggage already that will be attacked. Kamala will win the debates in the eyes of most, but Trump will throw mud about border control and the economy which rightly or wrongly will stick with a lot of swing voters. Walz has done very well for her so far, he seems very likable which was a good choice, better than Shapiro. I think Trump made a mistake with Vance as VP, perhaps a female choice or a stronger character.

How many of those women PMs have been killed in office or been forced to resign?

I’d argue she’s got far less baggage than Trump or Biden, perhaps less baggage than any candidate we’ve had in a while.

Assassinations haven’t been limited to women.
