How good are brownies. Especially the soft gooey ones.
Vance won that. Waltz seemed nervy and his facial expressions weren’t good. The format favoured Vance but Waltz better on the ground campaigning
What do you think?!?!? How is it healthy for an almost 50yo to stress eat saturated fat and sugar?!!
RACIST
Well I suppose you aren’t sculling a bottle of whisky so it could be worse
So who won?
- Vance
- Walz
- Nobody
- America
As even as it gets for a debate, a non-event for independents decision I would assume.
What I did take out of it is Vance could become quite a candidate for the Republicans once Trump is gone. He does speak well and at least pretends to care about both sides/all Americans. The stream of lies were there, but I thought he would be a lot more abrasive.

Draw.
I look forward to everyone forgetting this debate even happened in 24 hours.
I think everyone was hoping Waltz would smash Vance out of the park, but that was an unrealistic goal. It’s about what we should have expected.
Did Vance talk over any women? That was his “strength” last interview I saw.
Maybe its different in the US (where it actually matters), but it seems Trump and the republicans absolutely dominate the media. The coverage seems so squarely focused on them. Any coverage is good coverage IMO, anything that keeps you visible keeps you in the forefront of peoples minds. I would have liked Walz to generate some real talking points out of that. Maybe the debates mean nothing, but I dont think you can allow yourself to just be walked over in a setting like that. Show the American people that you hold contempt for the Trump/ Vance ticket. Nodding and being self deprecating to try and find common ground with Vance is not a winning formula.
Trump on 100 US troops that suffered TBI after a ballistic missile strike in Iraq by Iran.
Reporter: Do you believe you should’ve been tougher on Iran after they had launched ballistic missiles in 2020 on US forces leaving more than 100 soldiers injured?
Trump: What does injured mean? You mean because they had a headache… no one was tougher on Iraq…

And a fantastic rebuttal:
“TBI is my generations definitive injury from combat.
To be honest, we became excellent at survivability in general. Training post Vietnam focused on treatment of survivable injuries via self-care, buddy care, and then trained medical care. We focused on the right things,
bleeding from extremity wounds, tension pneumothoraces, and airway. This became standard of care through TCCC, itself based on a retrospective cohort of every American KIA in the Vietnam War.
In a semi-permissive tactical environment, we pushed CASEVACS via helo with blood so
so far forward if you got your leg blown off, a tourniquet and O neg. blood clots through an IO saved literally thousands of lives.
Body armor prevented lethal injury “in the box” as we say in the trauma bay.
What would a clever enemy focus on (and believe me, the muje were
clever)?
Blast injuries. IEDs. Their TTPs focused on killing us in our vehicles.
Ask any GWOT vet if he or she preferred foot patrol or a mounted patrol….
Because we lived through the blast (EFP’s from Tehran aside), it was the blast wave leading to TBIs that characterized
our injury patterns.
So many TBI’s. The guys with em are struggling to remember their loved ones names, where they left their car keys, how to breathe.
They flock to expensive and experimental therapies to cope: ketamine, hyperbaric oxygen, implants, therapy, Mexican clinics
with psychedelics.
Not much has come for a generation of warriors and their families struggling with this.
I was a Navy SEAL, I blew up the enemy, I breeched doors, I was in IEDs, I was in friendly fire.
Now I’m an ER doctor and the trauma director at a Level 1 Trauma center
. If you come in bleeding to death, I can save your life and be drinking coffee at my desk in minutes nowadays with the tricks we have.
If you have a head injury and “loss of grey white differentiation” on your pan-scan, I’ve got nothing for you besides making sure your bed is
properly positioned.
Anyway, if you’ve read this far, ■■■■ Donald Trump.
It’s not “just headaches.”
There was a very interesting segment on I think the 7.30 report about the impact of explosives on the brain. Summary being that repeated exposure to blasts, even if they dont cause visible injury can rattle the brain and cause the same sort of degenerative brain conditions that you see in footballers.
Good. There was nothing like the " you’re no Jack Kennedy" moment that farked Dan Quayle
Yes, he spoke over the moderators at one time, after they repeatedly told him they had to move on to another topic. Then after he finished and Waltz tried to chime in, they muted them both
he spoke over moderators as they incorrectly fact checked him. And he set the record straight re how illegal aliens were entering the us under Kamala.
no he didn’t
