I have been called a troll, an idiot, a Russian agent, a transphobe, and spreading hate speech all because of three main points -

1. I don’t agree with children under 18 receiving gender reassignment surgery, or prescribed puberty blockers and believe this should only be available after 18
2. I suggested America pull funding to Ukraine because it’s not in the best interest for the American taxpayer (the people who vote).
3. Ukraine seek negotiations with Russia to end the conflict to avoid further deaths on both sides or an escalation which turns out very bad for all of us.

Somehow these are all extreme views in the eyes of this forum. I don’t need you to agree with me, or vise versa. My views align more to the Republican party, which I have expressed, hence, if I were American i would clearly vote for them.

I have no doubt, there are lurkers who just avoid posting because of the rabid response, which I was one of.

We are on a essendon forum discussing US politics. Yes, get a grip. None of us are solving anything related to the US in the real world. Discussing policies and understanding different view points is actually important, and the point - rather than creating an echo chamber and really that’s what I think exists here.

Discussing means (to me) an exchange of ideas and then clarifying areas of uncertainty.

I have asked you several times, in a quite neutral tone, about your view on Russia as a reasonable negotiator when taking into account the recent history of agreements between Ukraine and Russia.

You have repeatedly ignored such questions so don’t try and claim any high moral ground here.

I’ve been an active participant on here for almost 18 years and the only people who get called “Trolls” are the ones that throw out statements, then fail to back them up when questioned about them.

That’s what you’re doing with my questions…
