US politics - is weird (part 6)

Sorry it is late on a Friday, fixed

I can assure you the fault is entirely mine.

News from RCP shows that in virtually every poll except Rasmussen, Harris is ahead by 1 to 3 %.
Thats within the margin of error, but its encouraging for sure.

Its hard to believe that Trump can still win, his brain is full of word salad phrases that spill out in random order when asked questions, and he is increasingly bizarre at his rallies, and flip flops in a zephyr wrt Roe v Wade depending on the audience.

This election is like nobody has ever seen. So is just about everything else according to him

Yesā€¦all that is trueā€¦and there for everyone to seeā€¦and you would think that it would be newsā€¦the fact that he struggles to put coherent sentences together.

And yet it is still closeā€¦the rusted on MAGA idiots probably think that the clips showing his incoherency are fakeā€¦god only knows what the morons who actually go and see him in person thinkā€¦(do they think at all?)

FFSā€¦this should be all over every aspect of the mediaā€¦and yet itā€™s not.

Like WTF???

Like much more money in spruiking this ā€œcontestā€.

Its going to come down to Pennsylvania.

Speaks more to just how cooked the US system is than either of them personally.
You wouldnā€™t give either of them even a minimum wage job.

FFS. The judge in the Stormy Daniels ā€œhush moneyā€ case has rolled over and avoided giving any judgement until well after the election.

Trump is getting the OPPOSITE of the treatment Clinton got in 2016. Any obstacles are getting steam rolled, whereas she had the FBI come out just before the election making statements that cost her the election. (Even though she won the popular vote).

I donā€™t know, that kind of stuff seems to work in Trump favour. I bet Harris probably likes not having to worry about Trump been given another talking point. Weird, I know

@Crazy_Bomber what do think about Trumps child care policy?

An assessment of current pathways. Trump has limited options compared with Kamala, which will mould his rally and advertising in the last 8 weeks, assuming no more surprises.

I really hope so but 2016 PTSD still reigns in my head.

I havenā€™t seen one

Here is Trumps answer word for word regarding child care policy. As you can see he explains it very well.

ā€œWell, I would do that, and weā€™re sitting down ā€” you know, I was, uh, somebody, we had Sen. Marco Rubio and my daughter, Ivanka, was so, uh, impactful on that issue. Itā€™s a very important issue.

But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that Iā€™m talking about, that ā€” because child care is child care. Itā€™s, couldnā€™t ā€” you know, itā€™s something, you have to have it. In this country, you have to have it.

But when you talk about those numbers compared to the kind of numbers that Iā€™m talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that theyā€™re not used to but theyā€™ll get used to it very quickly. And itā€™s not going to stop them from doing business with us, but theyā€™ll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country.

Those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that weā€™re talking about, including child care, that itā€™s gonna take care. Weā€™re gonna have ā€” I, I look forward to having no deficits within a fairly short period of time. Coupled with, uh, the reductions that I told you about on waste and fraud and all of the other things that are going on in our country ā€” because I have to say with child care, I want to stay with child care, but those numbers are small relative to the kind of economic numbers that Iā€™m talking about, including growth.

But growth also headed up by what the plan is that I just, uh, that I just told you about. Weā€™re gonna be taking in trillions of dollars, and as much as child care is talked about as being expensive, itā€™s, relatively speaking, not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers weā€™ll be taking in.

Weā€™re going to make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people and then weā€™ll worry about the rest of the world. Letā€™s help other people. But weā€™re gonna take care of our country first. This is about America first. Itā€™s about: Make America great again. We have to do it, because right now weā€™re a failing nation. So weā€™ll take care of it. Thank you. Very good question.ā€

Oh Iā€™d heard that, whatā€™s why I said I havenā€™t heard a policy yet.
