Also terrible to see the US adopt the white South African policy from Dutton.

Obviously care but if you got hung up everything that was happening in the world you would go crazy.

The people I know little has changed on the daily.

Till it does. Then it’s too late.

It’s like preparing for a bushfire. Too late to clear the bush after the fires been lit.

After the initial disasters it appears travel to the US is on the up.
Australian travel to the US for April was 50% up on March and is even up 1% on April 2024.

Canadian and Mexican travel to the US is still poor but excluding them travel from the rest of the world to the US is up 8% on April last year with the Poms and Germans both seeing a 15% rise

Surprising

I can’t afford to travel there anyway. I mean, the stockmarket went back up, but amazingly it didn’t make my life any better.

I’m only going because I’ve had this booked for a long time and some of the accomodation is non refundable. The flights/accom that I had booked on either changeable or cancel free rates I managed to rebook and have so far managed to save around $3500.
Got a couple more I’ll monitor over the next week or so and adjust accordingly but if anything flights from Australia to the US are starting to trend upwards again

Almost as though not everyone has a limited capacity to process information or a low ceiling on what concerns them.

Yes man, like all those people. Terrific point, well made

Well, I’m convinced.

I definitely plan and execute all of my international travels within four weeks of political brain farts.

Yes, a better measure would be the comparative rate of new bookings as opposed to arrivals (most of whom will have committed to travel months ago as you imply).

Well it was down 30% and everyone jumped on that.

But now it’s up. Even on last year we can’t use the stat?
