US politics - never go full Project 2025 (part 8)

Hilarious. That’s what it’s all about, not getting a new plane within his term. Has to use the one Obama used. Diddums

But what a broad church - encompassing both holocaust deniers and enablers of Palestinian genocide beachside development.

Qatar agrees to buy 160 Boeing, worth around $200 billion. And HRH gives Donald a free pen.
However Donald has his eyes on the white marble, it’s so hard to get, he knows as he’s tried to get some before.

Defence Agreement signed between Donald and HRH. Hesgeth gets to sign a declaration of intent.
Reference to talks on Russia Ukraine.
Witkoff buzzing around everywhere, so positive on Russia Ukraine, hoping for some positive news on Gaza soon.

Geez he is a clown.
The delay in announcing the order was down to his stupidity and now he’s spinning it like it’s a win.
Qatar was always going to stick with Boeing if they could get their act together and last year had already ordered a batch of 777X’s with an undertaking that they would add to that this year with a firm commitment.
The only reason they would have been thinking of not filling the order was when this tariff fiasco started.
Emirates have also announced similar in the last 12 months so I’m guessing he will also spin that the same way after visiting the UAE

So many signings. Mr Boeing signed off on the order.
It’s a punishing tour, so many ceremonies, camel escort this time, not so many many handshakes this time and a nap before the State Dinner. He rambled on , at one stage came perilously close to saying that the Qataris looked like the Saudis.
He’s presenting himself as a PBF of them all, big business and investment deals with the big rich, combined with defence and the role of the Middle East big boys in working to bring peace.
( Take that, youse Europeans and NATO)

There’s an almost infinite amount of money that the Gulf states are throwing at the aviation industry and Trump wants to cash in on it. The worlds biggest and richest airlines all need a hell of a lot of new aircraft and had a difficult decision to chose between the big two so Donny can now claim that he is responsible despite many of these orders being agreed on in principal long before he came to power. Having Qatar and Emirates in your corner is a massive leg up and with Riyadh now entering the scene and wanting to become the biggest and best airline in the world the race will be on to secure their orders. FWIW I’m not sure all these ANNOUNCE orders will ever eventuate as Boeing are years behind already and the dominant airlines aren’t going to sit around and wait for 10-15 years so what usually happens is they will creep back on their orders down the track and use Airbus to pick up the slack.
Qatar decided a while back to go exclusively Starlink on their aircraft with others to follow suit so Elon will continue to ride on Donny’s coat tails and make a fortune from these contracts and T H I wouldn’t be shocked if there was a clause in there somewhere so that every new aircraft from Boeing has Starlink capability installed from factory
