Bruce has been a myth maker his entire career, adjusted with the tides. It’s admirable to speak out as a geriatric multi millionaire, like De Niro, but just because you got to play in the sandpit of make believe all your professional life doesn’t mean you’re actually the sheriff or even Clint Eastwood for hire. Clint is actually more authentic in owning his cranky dementia. The American myth is risible just like our egalitarian myth. The power of art. Artifice Bruce.

Yeah, I’m not against it, they all need to speak up. But the conditions that allow for Bruce Springsteen allow for Donald Trump also. It’s all make believe. Whoever seizes the dream with enough energy owns it, and dark energy is so easy to seed and nurture now.
The vitriol that Blue MAGA has for him is sickening.
The Democratic elite are complicit in all of this. They are a small group of very wealthy white people who face no consquences regardless of whether or not their party has power, because they live in safe seats that will never vote Republican and will never lose primaries due to the inherit corruption and donor money. They are a business. They are a corporation. They are not out to make life better for anyone but themselves. And now they are aging but they refuse to give up their stations.
And they will always fight those to their left harder than they will fight those to their right. They always have, and they will die on that hill.

There was something in the UN briefing about the US sending deportees to Libya.
Libya doesn’t have a government. There was a recent outbreak of shootings. The UN Mission in Libya has called for a de escalation of violence.
It is unknown whether the US has engaged UNHCR on the deportees.
