Hey @Esteban, sorry I didn’t reply sooner.

Don’t trust a word this guy says.

I posted a video of his interview with Tucker Carlson being factually pulled apart, limb from limb, by Ryan McBeth. Go back and review the video and other comments made on the thread about him.

He has consistently spouted a lot of nonsense since day one of the Ukraine war.

His latest claim is preposterous:

Didn’t realise McGregor was such a fraudster but some of the points he made about the US having no clear strategy and of the US and Israel underestimating Iran seem to have some merit.

the strategy is you’ve just closed 20% of the worlds oil trade while trying to drive private investment in a country you just raided so you could try and privatise their oil

bonus: a desperate mil-ind complex looking for purchase orders after Europe just gave them the finger

Crockett actually is losing her seat because Texas gerrymandered it out of existence.

As noted previously, the US is currently run as a mobster intimidation outfit.

From what I gather, both Talerico and Crockett are strong candidates. The bigger news is around the Republican primary. I mentioned what might happen in the below post. But, nicely for the Dems, the establishment guy (current Senator) Corwyn just beat Trumpy man Paxton, but didn’t get 50% of the total vote. That means that there will be a run-off that will take 10 weeks. This is after Corwyn, despite being the incumbent and spending at least $70m (I’m reading several different amounts) to date.

Why is this a big deal? Because in polling Talerico and Crockett are well behind Corwyn, but neck and neck with Paxton. If nothing else, Paxton winning the primary probably means a lot of funding has to be allocated to Texas.

Of course, from a left leaning POV this is again what is better, the longer-shot candidate who is a crazy Trumpist, or the more centrist establishment guy (still pretty far right) who is the stronger candidate. Obviously some on the left celebrated Trump being nominated in 2016, and we know how that worked out.

Not that this is likely to change much, but some interesting developments in Montana after the filing date for the Senate race just occurred. The two term incumbent unexpectedly pulled out and endorsed a new candidate who only filed a few hours before the deadline. Trump has also endorsed the new candidate.

This does mean that Montana won’t have an incumbent, and the new guy doesn’t have any real state recognition. He’s held a state-wide office, but it is an appointed one, so he hasn’t had to run before. Montana is one of several states where Dems will be supporting an independent challenger.

Does this change much? Well, Montana was +20 Republican last time so probably not. But, you never know.

And her replacement is a congressman from Oklahoma, with the following description from Trump:

“A MAGA Warrior, and former undefeated professional MMA fighter, Markwayne truly gets along well with people, and knows the Wisdom and Courage required to Advance our America First Agenda,”

This is going to end well.
