The “old guard” republicans are a moot point. This is now the Trump / Maga party , replete with everything that brings.

There’s more chance they’d put up Marjorie Taylor Green as a presidential candidate than Liz Cheney…

It is Trump’s party, and it will be for the forseeable future now that he has a mandate.

We will need to agree to disagree. IMO personal difference is why people vote. Whether that be Trump or Harris people have a choice which is usually based on their needs. That’s not selfishness, its self care.
