US politics - the new orange wave (Part 7)

Fauci is my hero, spent his whole life committed to fighting disease, some unqualified nuffies put something on the internet and everyone takes it as the truth. Truly patbetic.

How loud were you when Trump was pardoning people left, right and centre?

I don’t recall any protests from you back then.

You’re like so many ā€œconservativesā€ in here…always picking at whatever Biden an/or The Democrats are doing/have done…but never seemingly doing the same for the things that Trump does (which are generally much worse).

I’d say the same back. The aim of my sarcastic post wasn’t to attack or deride anyone in here ……each to their own ….but some of the shrieking from the Dems over Trump being the destroyer of law and order and democracy - then Joe pardons his son after saying he wouldn’t - had just a little hint of irony

Didn’t he just fill out the form incorrectly, do you go to the big house foer that? Now trump pardons, they are a different level all together, and we never got to see who had the pocket pardons

Same. My son got them.

Incidentally, saw fisheries officers at Walkerville at low tide a couple weeks back. They are nabbing lots of small time poachers, many of whom don’t realise they are poaching (don’t understand the need to go 2 m deep in the water, whatever the state of the tide, for example). Good thing too.

The maximum sentences for the two crimes hunter Biden was charged with are 25 years and 30 years. For lying on a gun application form about having recently taking drugs and not paying tax, which he has subsequently paid back. I mean, the hole thing stinks but if he was a normal Joe blow with a decent lawyer there is no way he would be up for 55 years in jail.

Don’t you like beagles?

This is a typical response when someone calls out the hypocrisy of the democrats

Trump may have done the same thing, but isn’t this the issue that the democrats have with him, that he’s dishonest and corrupt?

Look, I’m no Biden fan, but….

I’m a father, I’d pardon my son without any hesitation if I was president. Probably wouldn’t feel the need to explain myself either.

What does that say to all the people in America that don’t have the President as their dad.

This is a typical response whenever ā€œconservativeā€ posters get called out on here.

Biden pardoned his son…who had been targeted by the Republicans purely because he was Biden’s son…no other reason.

Trump pardon his cronies

Trump granted clemency to five of his former campaign staff members and political advisers: Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Stephen K. Bannon, and George Papadopoulos. Many of Trump’s grants of clemency were criticized by the federal agents and prosecutors who investigated and prosecuted the cases.

I acknowledged Trump as being dishonest and Corrupt. That part is not in question. The hypocrisy of the democrats is.

Your false equivalence is a joke!

Be interesting to compare the list of pardons by the respective presidents. Unless I’ve miscounted it’s 143 to 26. False equivalence.

Trump never pardoned his son or immediate family did he? Especially after he said he wouldn’t, it’s extreme nepotism and cronyism because it’s his son. Has a president ever pardoned his son or immediate family member? Or is Biden the first to do so?

He pardoned Kushners Dad.

Maybe he saw who Trump nominated for AG and FBI and went nope, not leaving that to chance.

So presumably you’re ok with Biden pardoning his son who faced up to 25 years in jail? Come on man. The irony is thick and shtankey. Don’t you agree? Look over there Trump’s a crook he pardoned friends and allies. Meanwhile Joe pardons his own son
