The AFL fixtures are done months before the VFL fixtures.
I’m the first to bash the clowns at the AFL but not sure this is one of those occasions where they are at fault.

Side has good names but 4-5 coming back from injuries means it still maybe a tough game for us with under done players. But thats what the VFL is also for. Robey looked rusty in the midfield last week and more comfortable at half forward. I am glad though he is getting midfield time. Quickest way to find some fitness and form over the next 2-3 weeks. Last week North had 15 AFL listed players (we had 9) on the park and it was an even game. So i think the VFL listed players are actually quite good.

as has been mentioned, the VFL cohort seems stable for once, not just names but roles identified and filled.
McKay, Sellers, O’Neill, Hately, Binns, Nyko are all better than average VFL players

Also Ferronato was an inside bull for Knights in Caddy’s draft year would have averaged close to 30 touches a game!

How many times in the past 20 years have I said this when we have been playing Geelong.
Seriously though, I reckon that a competitive VFL side is critical to player development, and I am looking forward to watching the game. Hopefully Tsatas will rack up another 30 possessions so he can eventually make it in the AFL (at another club).
