Just entered this thread. Did BH just kick 4 red time goals to beat us? Or am I reading incorrectly. Anyway, sounds like there were a few good signs.
Sounds like heās not the only one
Yeah wtf
Looks like they kicked the last 3.1 of the game.
Not running out games.
Anyone might think our VFL team is prepared by the same fitness team that underprepares our AFL teamā¦
If anyone has a sentence or two on the afl listed lads that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers in advance fellas
Scrollā¦
They arent.
Its a completely different fitness and conditioning team.
One of my mates works in the Vfl department, and heās the one that told me that last year our Vfl boys ran quicker 2kmās on average then the Afl team lmao.
Just a reminder.
Voss is just blitz hype.
thatās remarkable
Sarcasm acknowledged.
Even those who want Voss playing in the 1s (that includes me) donāt think heās gonna rack up the disposals or kick bags of goals. But he is a seriously aggressive player who wants to hit and hit hard. If anyone who has watched us play over the last 15 years canāt see how desperately we need this type of player then they must have the Stevie Wonder goggles on. We need his type so badly, and more than just one. I hope he gets his opportunity soonā¦
Thought Voss was easily best for us. Ready for an opportunity at AFL level.
Hobbs just tried hard all day, ran his guts out. Just needs to be cleaner with the footy.
Tex was impressive with his workrate, best Iāve seen it. Tackling and pressure was 100%
Baldwin very solid down back.
Monty was great at reading the rebounding the play.
Snelling solid without being great.
Guelfi couldnāt get into the game. Needs another run.
Byran was impressive in the air. Some really solid marks. If he can do that, he can get a go in the AFL soo
I wonder if Bryan is better suited to a CHB role?
Just speculationā¦.
Thanks for the player reviews @AVanderScreamer
After we lose by 10 goals today hopefully we bring Voss in
Quick thought
Thought Tex, Bryan, Snelling, Montgomerie, Baldwin, Hobbs and Voss were all good. Voss had great cameos which got him the 4 goals. Crowded forward line at times made it a bit hard. I will say he is still for me a touch reactive when it comes to forward craft. His opponent often lead him to the ball and Voss was more reactive to punch or tackle in many occasions. Like to see him be more pro-active on occasions to be in front. Saying that developing very well. Tex body language was brilliant⦠had manic pressure al game. Was a decent hit out. 4 goals from 50m undisciplined acts the difference in the end.
So we lost to the VFL team that most people think is part of the worst list in the AFL.
This is gonna be a very long year!
FMD - the find the doomsday take in every thread is getting boring.
Box Hill had 3 more wins than us last year and beat us by 94 points.
And itās a PRACTICE match too, weāre a better VFL team than last year
