VFL - rep game vs NT @ TIO Stadium, 7:45pm Wed 24 Jan 2024 - streamed

I missed the NT naming their (extended) squad a month ago.

If we can convince Dylan Landt to switch teams we might not be beaten… by as much.

This will likely be a Radio 3DJR exclusive (unless you pay Murdoch for access to the NT News site).

They do all NTFL and NTFLW games, so you’d expect they’d do this too.

When will the Essendon V.F.L. and V.F.L.W. Sides be announced.

It’s a valid question…

RepCaptains

AFL Northern Territory is excited to announce Ryan Nyhuis and Jasmyn Hewett as captains of the 2024 Cazalys NTFL Representative sides who will take on Essendon VFL and VFLW next Wednesday evening.

Former Fremantle draftee and current Nightcliff captain Ryan Nyhuis will lead the Men’s side and Adelaide Crows AFLW premiership player Jasmyn Hewett from PINT will be in charge of the Women’s side. For Nyhuis and Hewett, this will be their third appearance in the famed Ochre colours.

Nyhuis started his junior career at Nightcliff, where he is playing today, with 123 games during his time in the yellow and black before a stint for the Peel Thunder in WAFL featuring in 49 games. Recruited at pick no. 34 in the 2016 Rookie Draft, Nyhuis played 17 games with Fremantle spanning from 2016 to 2019.

During his time at Fremantle, he earned an AFL Rising Star nomination for Round 20 of the 2017 AFL Season.

He has also represented the Northern Territory on 13 occasions in the NEAFL for the NT Thunder.

The NTFL Buffaloes side has a pristine record against the Essendon Bombers, winning against the red and black in 1986, 1989, 1994, and again in 1998.

Will it be streamed?

Murdoch stream “all” NTFL and NTFLW games.

I say “all” as while they turned up to the Tiwi game by quarter time on Saturday, they then failed to get their gear to work…

Is there anyway to watch this without being there

Hoping the Tiwi players are part of the squad going forward, for men and women.

I’ll have to double check but I’m pretty sure Kim signed on at South Adelaide again

Look two posts up from yours. I assume they will (attempt to) stream it.

Otherwise you’re stuck with Radio 3DJR, and there’s little chance I can memorise 40+ new players…

Ha, Sutton might be our only player I’ve seen before.

Did Mason Redman and Bill Bailey have a love child?

Taha hasn’t been mentioned in the training updates either has he?
Read about Eyre and Foley and Alessio being at training though.
