LAST ENCOUNTER

2018 Rd 3 @ Victoria Park: Collingwood 16.10 (106) d Essendon 12.6 (78)

FORM COMING IN

Essendon (6th, 7-6) has suffered consecutive losses to the Casey Demons, Richmond and then to Werribee in a one-point thriller last round. Collingwood (7th, 7-5) arrested a four-loss mid-season slump with a 58-point defeat of Werribee two weeks ago before a bye.

KEY QUESTION

Will the Bombers come to play from the start? Essendon has suffered from slow starts to games in recent times, having trailed at quarter time against the Box Hill Hawks (by 15 points), Casey (18), Richmond (25) and Werribee (five) over the last four weeks – and kicking a total of just four first-term goals in that period.

KEY STAT

The Magpies lost the clearance count to the Bombers by 20 in Round 3 but still generated 13 more inside-50s en route to a winning score, while last week Essendon similarly beat Werribee by 18 in clearances but conceded six more inside-50s. Dan Jordan’s team will likely look to polish up its ball movement going forward this week.

A little birdy told me there is nothing to worry about.

Actually, they said a fair bit more than that, but to elucidate further might launch 1000 memes, so I’ll play it safe.

I didn’t think Francis could play HBF for balance

Fasolo and Elliot both playing. This won’t end well.

Poor 51 for the Pies can’t get his name through the swear filter.
Geez, the guy’s name is ■■■■, it’s not like it’s ■■■■, ■■■■, or ■■■■.

The problem with Melksham is the character he played in The Maze.

I’d like to see @Paul_Cousins interview @theDJR at halftime.

Make it happen!

Whoever is running the club Twitter has failed to post the customary photo of the final team supplied to the umps…

Another big game today. Let’s hope we win this one to end our three game losing streak.

Then Melbourne City Wrestling.

We better have wrapped up the win versus Freo well before full time.

So do we have radio DJR today? Its vital. No tv coverage.
