VFL - Round 4 vs Southport @ The Hangar, 11:40am Saturday April 20 2024

It’s almost like watching a different sport. Must be so tough to stand out playing VFL.

Fair tackle by Roberts on their ruckman who looks like he would compete in the wood chopping at the Show. Must have been giving away 20+ kgs

Why?

Cocaine Crossley

How many times inside our half this qtr. Once.

Man it looks like they’ve got 3 extra blokes out there at the moment, we can’t get it past half way.

I hope we never get to see Weideman in the seniors this year.

We do 5 15 mtr kicks sideways until we turn it over.

Very little system, ball movement isn’t there. You basically need to go and scrap for every single disposal.

There’s plenty of examples of guys that will play better at a higher level.

Hayes is a standout, Caddy is showing as a standout, J Davey stands out when he does some very nice things. If you are good enough you will stand out.

It’s a horrific standard. You’ve also got VFL listed players that can barely hit a target even when you’re in 30 metres of space.

Umpire with a horrible sense of theatre as Wangas kicks at goal from 55, calling it touched on the line.

Vigo seems to have something the rest of our rucks lack, some forward craft.
Great kick

Big Vigo with a lovely set shot from 45!

Vigo has the best forward aptitude of any of our ruckman and it’s not even close

Shiel hasn’t been withdrawn from the game which I guess means he’s no chance for Anzac Day.

Hahaha. The “lethal left foot” call once again results in an out on the full kick.

Dominated large parts of the half, but poor skills, lots of mistakes, chaotic/haphazrd fwd line and poor kicking for goal means we’re not far ahead.

Sound familiar?

Caddy has beautiful hands on the lead. Lloyd-esque
