Strange that we haven’t named a team yet.

With no injuries to lament, Collingwood’s VFL list still rubbish.

Typically would be released by the club in the early hours of this arvo. Worst case, around 6pm when all teams are released by the VFL.

Matt Guelfi will make his return from a calf strain this Saturday as Essendon VFL faces Collingwood at Victoria Park.

Guelfi headlines three inclusions for the VFL Dons, who’ll also regain midfielders Elijah Tsatas and Bailey Scott for the Anzac Round clash.

Sam Weideman is set to support Lewis Hayes in defence again after a strong outing last week, while Cam Nyko holds his spot after a promising debut against Sou

Ricky Monti, Jake Moorhead and Alex Molan are the three who’ll make way this week.

The Bombers take on the Pies from 2:05pm AEST at Victoria Park, with an Anzac observance and minute’s silence to take place before the first bounce.

This is my local so I reckon I’ll stroll down and watch at least a half from the grass.

Pretty keen to see Tsatas, Caddy, Roberts, Hayes, Lual, J Davey and VIGO.

No Smartt?

Assume he’s playing in this game

The Young Guns will play a second game against Vic Country at Craigieburn’s Highgate Recreation Reserve from 11am on Sunday

Strong looking team. A midfield of Bryan, Shiel, Hatley and Tastas should dominate.

A lot to play for individually as well. Waganeen, Davey, and Guelfi are all different style forwards but provide a useful benchmark against each for possible promotion.

Maybe mid season draft possibilities as well. I like what I’ve seen from Peris and Foley. Hately, has done well as well, but unless we lose a few midfielders to season ending injuries, I can’t see him being considered.

Brad Scott playing?

What’s happened with Ash Johnson? He looked like he was going to be a gun for the Pies not that long ago.
