He’d been fine in his previous games prior to concussion. His first game back and he has two horrible turnovers and you say he had n average “month and a bit”. Which implies he’s had a bad series of games. When he’d actually had two bad kicks in the one game he played in that time, after playing well for a number of weeks.

his games were actually less than ‘fine’, but you can be a pedant about the chronology of my flippant comment all you like, the point is that his form hasn’t been good enough to warrant a walk up start to the firsts

Speaking of terrible kicks, Phillips has been very average today.
