Hind played for the Essendon VFL from 2016 until he was drafted by the Aints. Played for us when we played the VFL Prelim in 2018 which we lost to Casey.
He did that famous line breaking run against Richmond that got us into the Prelim.

Back to back Prelims in 2018 and 2019 I’m pretty certain.
The 2018 one we scraped into the 8 and made a Prelim.
The 2019 one I reckon we finished top 4.
Can’t remember which one but reckon we lost one of the Prelims by a kick or something

2018 we lost by 8 iirc
2019 was something like 30 points

Everyone was out of legs.
Then Hind finds space, and runs like 80 meters through the middle of the ground, and kicks it to Steward…… Who kicks the winner. Siren goes.

Yep under Dan Jordan.
That team was Langford, Ridley, Francis, Redman, Guelfi, Clarke, Begley, Green, Leuenberger, Stewart, Jackson Merrett, Mutch.
We had some great VFL players in that side also. Unfortunately they all left, post covid…. because Campbell sacked the Football Manager, and took on the role himself….. and he didn’t make contact with the VFL players when the season was starting, so they all went and found other clubs.

I reckon that was only the semis. Might have been the year before when we made a Prelim.
We played the Dogs in finals for 3 or 4 years straight around that period
Prelim is great news. Saw about half the match and the ground looked shorter than the scg.
It was a good day at the footy. Tassie put in a good effort and the bombers got through.
On here? The softest most vanilla team in years and most of the fans spend all game whinging about the commentary. Unfarkinbelievable. Cascade draught still flowing. G’night you sooky sooks.

The only place where we can win finals, the VFL.
Does make for great day outs, used to love heading down to them and getting around the huddles in the breaks.
Saw us fall short in prelims. Hopefully we can make the granny.
■■■■ yeah the early start and the weather turned me off driving to Slowbart also still setting up new house and cat had to go to the vet, so watched on 7+ then phone then back to to 7+ and back to phone in the car park of the vets and driving back home, great win, reckon we can go still go up another level…Go Bombers!
