This is probably the appropriate time and place to let the good people of Blitz know that one person who isn’t a VFL signing for 2024 is me; as of last week I’m no longer involved with either the VFL Program or broader club going forward - so you’ll all have to get match reports and player updates from Radio DJR going forward!

The club decided it no longer needed the role of VFL President. I was offered an alternate role that didn’t really appeal so politely declined. So yep.

Thanks for all the time you’ve put into the program.

The VFL has been one of the few joys recently (until the Covid rules came in). The period where we were making Prelims, was a very exciting time. Especially when the club was really struggling.

And being able to take my son along to watch an Essendon team who were performing, was awesome.

But Welcome back weekends!

Very kind thanks! Hopefully someone else from the program can step in a do a far better job than me on those pods - those guys all do a terrific job for the supporters. People involved in the VFL don’t tend to get a whole of public recognition or kudos so I enjoyed trying to generate a bit of that.

Cheers Paul for all the hard work and service behind the scenes. Director and VFL President… no matter which role you served… you always valued connecting direct to members/fans and its been hugely appreciated.

Paul you are a great representative of the Essendon football club.
Always offering your time to come on anybodys podcast even smaller ones like ours.

Can not thank you enough for your kindness and care and always having that positive attitude.

All the best Paul hopefully this frees up your time for quality family time.
