VFL v Casey

Was going to say the same (on both counts actually).

Commentary before was a contest for akuei and a white Casey player. And just referred to him as Lual. Probably just honest mistake

He is, but was also nowhere near the play they were calling when Akuei gave away a free (which they attributed to Lual).

Would hate to be a dons forward let alone Gerreyn way some of those balls inside 50 coming in. Looking forward to our depth coming back post bye.

Think our club just undervalues the basic fundamental things at both levels, AFL or VFL

Blow the siren. Just forfeit and take the 10 goal loss. Come back post bye

They won last week and had won 3 out of our last 4.

Edwards appears to be playing full-time wing.

Deficit now 62-16.

Casey tall forwards are smashing us.

He’s playing forward just working up the ground.

Jesus that was a horrible advantage call. He kicked it as the whistle went

Dumb decision. If you hear a whistle you either stop or you take the shot. Dont have a bet each way like hately did.

Love parking the bus 46 points down then turning it over anyway

His aerial and contested marking is poor and that’s what will prevent him becoming an AFL footballer. His aerial work isn’t good or competitive enough for mine.

He has been underwhelming all year. That’s why they keep moving him back, then forward. His aerial work isn’t good enough and I think this will prevent him from making it. He’s no certainty to keep his list spot.

What? He’s played down back all year (until the last week or so).
They moved him back last year when all of our defenders went down.

You can be critical of the bloke without just making ■■■■ up.

The Aerial work is a valid criticism, he needs to improve it.
But people said the same thing about Voss.

Hard to watched such an undermanned side that packed the wrong footwear - the ground is like a skating rink for us.

Second week in a row that Dowling, at 206cm (or 207?) looks short against an opposition ruckman.

Pretty soon, 210 cm will be the entry point for an AFL ruck.

I think they moved him back to see what he looked like as well. He wasn’t really performing early on last year either.

Let’s see. I might be wrong but I think Gerryne needs to improve significantly in some key areas if he’s got any chance of making it.

Was about to post the same thing.

honestly, do you see a quality AFL key position player with him?

Do you think his natural marking, contest work and aerial work is at a high enough level? Thats ultimately going to determine his future.

I don’t think he’s strong overhead or physical enough.

The really good key position players show it very early on. Eg: Ridley, Caddy. They were showing quality from day one. Gerryne to me is t showing it.

No I don’t but I am not going to base it on today’s game where he is about the only target against experienced AFL footballers. Add to the fact our movement is poor and delivery even worse. It is one of those dirty games that teams can have in the VFL.
