Essendon has locked away five of its key VFLW stars for next season, with Skipper El Chaston, Vice-Captain Sophie Molan, as well as key cogs in Tia Davidge, Olivia Manfre and Brooke Plummer all recommitting to the Club.

I really need to just corner Bailey Hunt at an AFLW match and ask if she is coming back next year. Her comments when she went to East Freo (???) this year suggested her VFLW time with us might not be finished.

That time they were breaking-the-glass eight hours before Courtney announced her departure. They announced 12 players over 4 days.

Essendon has secured another five key re-signings in the VFLW space, with Jayda Richardson, Layla Prince, Ashlea Melnikas, Sarah Ford and Tayla Hart-Aluni all committing to the Club for next season.

Tay was shown running towards the end of the season. Wait and see if she gets some NTFLW in over summer.

Other critical not-yet-announced include MFord, Jordan, Thompson, and Bateman/Robinson.
Bernardi did not retire and has outright stated she has no inclination to further add to her club list (or worse, return to Collingwood), so I’m not worried about her.

It’s already started, and her sister is playing again.
After two weeks Tiwi has one poor loss and one close loss.
That puts them kinda halfway between PINT (3400%) and Wanderers (4.65%).
Jelena Tipungwuti is equal-second for goals, though.
Otherwise:
- Maddi Shaw is one of a bunch to be in their team’s bests both weeks.
- Sarah Darcy still playing with the Tiwis. You’d expect a trio of Norf players to pop up there at some point, too…
- Eva Harris AND Krystal Russell back with Southern Districts. Guess they got their rucks worked out.
- I forgot there was a player called Buffy Angel

At least one more Aussie Rules player there: Prosser-Shaw was Giants Academy and did well with Box Hill this year (last 5 H&A + 3 finals).

Australia, NZ, and American Samoa have rotated wins to all be 1-1. We are well ahead on score (we smashed Samoa and lost to NZ by a solitary point) so one more win from the repeat games would likely get us through the Oceania bracket and into the finals.
