VFLW - Round 10 vs Casey @ Windy Hill, 11am Sat 28 June 2025

QUARTER FOUR

  • 1:20 Ryan moved off the contest way too easily, by someone notable smaller and lighter than herself. Results in a goal to Zanker (a bloody good kick from 30m out on the boundary)
  • Hmm. I might have lied early when I said Plummer was our obvious BOG. Let’s see how these last 17 minutes go…
  • 2:55 good chasing tackle to kill the shot at goal by Lacy. Has not been prominent. By the way, she has borrowed Prpic’s #58 for this game – Chloe has been injured the entire season :frowning:
  • 4:45 Nice rebound from the now-playing-in-defence Melnikas, to the contractually-obliged CLUNK by Tia in the middle.
  • Ash likely swapping with Porter, who is now lining up on the wing.
  • 5:20 Thompson concedes a mark in the middle, but gets back for the spoil to start a great run through the middle by Plummer (gut running) and good disposals by Jordan and Harris to get it back to Plummer within 50m.
  • Ooh, here’s Chaston. Has been relatively hidden in defence after a busy start.
  • Jordan is just so bloody clean and creative with her disposals, no matter the pressure on her.
  • 8:40 Ibrahim gets piggy-in-the-middled, but then SPRINTS 50m to repeatedly harass Demons and get it out of bounds. Well done.
  • 9:15 SammyJ had a hard day, but this is a great lead where she could never get spoiled. Came from Mifsud bursting from a back-half stoppage and drilling the pass to advantage.
  • Ha, that wasn’t a 15m pass by sFord to Bernardi. Ump perhaps generous given how hard she got clobbered from behind while trying to mark.
  • Lovely low pass by Bernardi to Manfre leading hard up the boundary line. And it turns out to be a goal conversion as good as Zanker’s earlier on, too.
  • 11:30 That’s not ■■■■■■■ continuous, other ump. Final goal of the game ensues.
  • 14:10 Apparently if the ump doesn’t believe you were hit in the head, you’re allowed to not at all try to dispose after being tackled. Gutless by that ump.
  • Manfre got quality as well as quantity with her tackles.
  • 18:30 That ump misses the obvious holding of Melnikas but hallucinates the same free for Scar. Whatevs, we know you suck. No one has any idea who got the free, and the ump doesn’t offer that information for ages.

Bella Enno of Sandy got off with a reprimand by pleading guilty to Rough Conduct on Monique DEMATTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOO.

Everybody hates Tayla. Megan Mifsud can feel bad being left out of that middle stretch, too.
