VFLW - Round 10 vs Port Melb @ North Port Oval, 1pm Saturday 25th May 2024

Port are struggling to score.

Stats Leaders (leaders, us, Port, maybe a few others).

Apart from goals, the numbers below are averages… but the rankings are sorted by totals.

4 - EL CHASTON 18.8
5 - RUBY MAHONY 18.4
8 - Ava Seton (Port) 17.2

e3 - Monique Dematteeeeeeeeoooooooo (Falcons) 13

9 - Beth Wilson (Port) 26.2

They’ve got five players up there, we have two.

2022 was a while ago…

Year For Against Result
2021 27 38 -11
2022 79 16 63
2023 19 22 -3
2023 11 41 -30
2024 7 54 -47
TOTAL 143 171 -28

Reminder: in round 1 Port scored just 2 more times than us to win by 47 points!

I think we’ll have a pretty good idea who is favourite when the teams are named… both of us have been crippled to various degrees all year. Port have been pretty bad the last six weeks, despite being clear best last year and arguably improving their squad this year.

Was this game originally scheduled for 1.05pm?

Pesky typos :white_check_mark:

Does that make it late enough to attend (and where were you hiding at Arden Street)?

At best we can perhaps get Marshall, Shaw, and McNeice back. Not sure on Jayda’s status, though the lighter Tassiopoulos has done a decent job filling her gap.

The likes of Hunt, Perkins, and Bernardi are at least two weeks away (the latter = really, no one knows).

Has winger LavinaCox made a case not to be a one-off? If not, does Carris-Brett want to give us pace on the wing?

It’s gonna take a whole-of-team pressure step-up.

Would have thought that AFLW new player ‘Sheridan’ would have been given a couple of games in the VFLW.

150 years.

Maybe you can peek into the glass and wood box in the northwestern pocket on game day.

Footscray get their team out early again; everyone else making us wait.

Yep, late enough now.

I was hiding near the Fogarty St entrance which was on the wing (near the Soccer court and asphalt plant).

Port have published their team on their website.

We are yet to acknowledge last week’s game happened (sure, it was bad, but that’s not a valid excuse).

I am confused as to why McNiece (emergency the last two weeks) is not playing her 50th VFLW game tomorrow.

We finally know Emily Gallagher’s age!

(23, no actual date provided)

Big (181cm) athlete, not a natural footballer, VFLW DEBUT.

Elsewhere, Emma Stark … that ump in our first AFLW game, St Mary’s, NTFL state team versus us in January, Oakleigh Charger, tipped for selection in the upcoming AFLW draft … will debut for the Pies.

Gallagher Gallagher Gallagher Gallagher Gallagher hmm six letters to autocomplete but she’s not an accumulating mid.

EMT rules out the alternative approach.

McNeice is the emergency in first warmup.

Molan with the defenders.
