Norf deserved to win, controlling a majority of the game and finding space on us like no team since at least 2021.
But they were still a bit lucky to win. We narrowly won the second half despite atrocious umpiring of tackling (they were fine in the first half).

With Willy snatching the win vs the Hawks and the Cats capitulating to Casey (and us falling just short of a non-finals-candidate), here’s my updated prediction for finals… well, hello, wee little Willy!

The above looks like a set-up for a 2021 repeat: Willy beats the Pies and we beat the Hawks, making us the top-ranked winner in the 3rd-6th bracket, and earning us a chance to proceed to the Grand Final without a Prelim (or if we lose in week 2, a second chance).
