We got all 3 of the frees in the last ~32 minutes!
EDIT: stats are wrong. They scored from a free in the last quarter.
EDIT 2: updated to 10-14 against us. Still only 5 frees in 32 minutes, after 19 in 48.
Very proud to say that the barks on that feed weren’t ALL Ziggy. Well done and kudos, other doggos
If I rig the results hard, I can get Norf up to fourth.
But really they need one of the below deviations from expected:
- Footscray to upset FCFC, or us.
- Willy to lose both games.
- Saints to lose both games.
Saints and Willy play each other, so really you’re only asking for the Saints to lose to the Hawks (kick straight, ya bastards!) or Willy to lose to the Cats.
FWIW: Port kicking with a big wind in the first quarter, and have kicked just one goal.
Admittedly it’s 1.5.11 to Darebin’s 0.1.1
It’s a very open game, the opposite of our game yesterday.
Darebin having no problem moving the ball forward through the midfield, but can’t do anything forward.
2-24 they trail Port at halftime.
Darebin kicked a goal
10-50 they trail.

Essendon have held off a late surge from Casey to seal a critical victory for their finals hopes in 2023.
The Dons kicked the opening three goals in the 4.6 (30) to 3.7 (25) result, with the fast start proving to be crucial in surviving what became a tense final 10 minutes of the contest.
Olivia Manfre opened the Bombers’ account, before Sophie Molan and Megan Ryangoaled within a minute to take a 20-point lead into the first change.
After an arm-wrestle across the second and third terms, the Demons timed their run late, cutting the margin to just six points entering the dying minutes with back-to-back goals.
Despite continuing to press, the Dees found themselves unable to crack the Dons, who held firm to claim a seventh win from their last nine games.
Grace Dicker and El Chaston were both solid contributors, combining for 26 tackles between them and setting the tone from the get-go.
Tamsin Crook led the charge with 15 disposals, while Manfre was the only multiple goalkicker on the ground with two majors.
The Dons now look ahead to a vital clash with ladder-leaders Port Melbourne at ETU Stadium on Sunday at 11:30am, where a win could potentially see a finals berth secured.
