Alana still annoyed she missed those goals. Tasmin Crook, the tall one, is happy!

First up is Felicity Theodore, who has thankfully put on some size since her first three games with us in 2019. Is a terrier, and kicked her first goal with us today.
She was one of three Bombers (all Calder Cannons) to be in the NAB League Girls Team of the Year in 2019 (Georgia Patriokis starred for us in 2019, and was an early draft pick for the Saints AFLW, while Georgie Pespakis is set to play with us later this year).
Ha, official bests exclude Nanscawen and Kendall. Never change, VFL(W) bests.
Casey have their first ruck as their second-best. They must be big fans of ineffective taps.
I met Peanut and I will not hear a bad word about her!
To be fair, Peanut (can’t tell if you’re trolling me with that name) looked more proportional with Nattie than when the big guy was holding her pink lead and she’s shorter than his not-very-long socks.
Some stats! On Caris, 31 hitouts but not a great amount of impact… though at least they then mention who I had as Casey’s best.
They meant to write “latter” rather than “former” re: who iced the game for us. As for the last line:
ALL HAIL THE HONEY BADGER!
CASEY
Maggie Caris pushed for a debut in round seven with 31 hitouts in the ruck for Casey while Mietta Kendall played well off half-back notching up 19 disposals.
ESSENDON
Veterans Cecilia McIntosh and Mia Rae Clifford were integral to Essendon’s win over Casey, the former kicking the goal to ice the game and give Essendon its first win. While former Kangaroo Georgia Nanscawen had an incredible 17 tackles to go with her 25 disposals.
How didn’t the Honey Badger get in the votes?
Because VFL(W) bests are very often off-their-head nuts!
P.S. Cecilia McIntosh was (incorrectly) ranked the third best player in the VFLW by the umpires in 2019. Based on the first two weeks you should be betting your house on her winning this year’s Lambert-Pearce Medal.
