Bit early, but let’s call this an eight-point game.

Haven’t lost to the Dogs since 2021, but their team has changed a LOT since then, so who knows!

That’s some SWEET ins.

Ins:
M. Robinson (80)
S. Molan (73)
E. Gough (1)
G. Nanscawen (5)
T. Hart-Aluni (59)
J. Morrow (60)

Outs:
72. R. Murdoch (injured)
13. L. Williamson
26. A. Van Loon
15. C. Adams
56. M. Huta
50. K. Russell

The differing number formatting is EFC’s…

The changes are certainly not like-for-like; four of the six ins are BIGS, Hart-Aluni offers something different forward (I hope her kicking has improved to actually convert those scoring chances)… and a HONEY BADGER.

Now four weeks without McNeice and Shaw, after they played all of the pre-season.

Wales G Mahony Molan/Gough at the CBA is cheat-coding (though Footscray have done OK with clearances this year: drew Norf, beat Casey, didn’t lose by a huge amount vs Sydney).

None of their 5 inclusions are AFLW-listed (and none of their squad last week was either). They do things differently over at Footscray.

Mind you, we only have 4 AFLW-listed.

The Western Bulldogs have made five changes to their team ahead of Saturday morning’s VFLW encounter against Essendon.

Emmalyn Nekrep, Jaime Henry, Emily Ramsay, Mia Cowan and Tannah Hurst have been added to the line-up.

Roxy Beuzeville, Eleanor Cornish, Trinity Skenderis and Jorja Livingstone make way, while Tallia Pulcino has been managed.

B: A Snow (57), C Ugle (29)
HB: S Asciak (28), T Crook (30), C Leonard (38)
C: C Mailer (60), D Carbone (54), E Nekrep (41)
HF: I McLeay (73), M McLeod (31), R Saulitis (56)
F: J Tabb (63), I Milford (64)
R: K Hardingham (66), E Bishop (35), M Klingbeil (53)
Int: J Henry (68), T Hurst (45), S Skinner (62), M Cowan (67), E Ramsay (46)
Emg: T Skenderis (34), F Taylor (48), E Cornish (55), M Clifford (47)

In: E Nekrep, J Henry, E Ramsay, M Cowan, T Hurst
Out: T Pulinco (managed), R Beuzeville, E Cornish, T Skenderis, J Livingstone

Both teams have therefore made 14 changes since we last met in Round 14 last year, and eventually got around to beating them 41-28.

VFL site says 6 week ankle injury for Murdoch.

They keep naming Clifford as an emergency while she’s off playing Super Rugby. This is their last H&A round so she’ll be playing real footy soon.

(Melbourne Rebels are winless this year, but lost 2 of their 4 matches by just 2 points – hopefully not due to her kicking!)

We need to win by a goal to Win the Weekend.

Game day!

Looks like a “great day for footy”: dry, sun peekaboos, high teens, light wind.

That wind might even be kind enough to be behind me on both the cycle to and from the game.

Also, G(ough)!

Shaw running laps.

Marnie Vinall has to message La Presidenta @Catherine_Lio that the Dogs don’t let dogs in.

Huta is the emergency in the warmup 22.
